"I Could Stand Here and Just Stare..."

Where did the weekend go? I remember coming home on friday and now it's sunday. Time fully booked. Finally got to watch "Little Miss Sunshine" on Friday. It made me feel wierd, like witnessing a family trainwreck and liking it. At it's most demented parts, it reminded me of "You, Me and Everyone We Know". Another fine feature film that includes the neighborhood perv posting nasty signs in his front window to woo the teen girls. LovelyWife loved me 2X after i brought that one home. It got good review and i read a sweet interview with the gal who wrote it in Punk Planet.
I need to start watching movies again. there are so many flics out there and i used to watch at least 3 a week but it seems that life has started to book more of my schedule. "B-A-L-A-N-C-E, balance" as that old spanish peacock would say. (pick that one out)

Saturday i poisoned myself with some questionable chicken breakfast sausage. Shoulda just stayed a vegetarian. But abdominal pain and fever sweats aside, i got to take the older half of SweetLove to the BPR Daddy/Daughter Dance....also known by those that set it up as the Whose Your Daddy Dance (please ref. above - demented). Couldn't even get her to dance with me to "Groove Is In The Heart" or "Whip It". My little girl is leaving the nest.

And What the hell happened today you ask? Pain and suffering. When did the phrase, "Can you please go down and help pick up the basement." translate to "I'm gonna attach you to a rack and stretch you until your liver pops out onto the table"? 3 people picking up the playroom is an easy 20 minute walk down memory lane. At least this weeks memories. But instead i get excusses as to why they can't help me pick up their toys. My favorite today, "But we will play with it again sometime", "there isn't any good music down there", or the capper and something i can identify with, "Indy poops down by the foosball table and it stinks".
